Driver Profile #46 Dan Adams



Name: Dan Adams

Location: Madrid (Spain)

Years Drifting: 2


Vehicle of Choice: Bmw Euro M3 E36 and soon Toyota Soarer Z20

Why: Its the RWD I had when started dritfting and ended up been my racing drift car.. Soon Toyota to improve skills and speed, Beemer has 286hp and the Toyo will have around 500hp..

Mods: Bmw: KW V3, supersprint decat, all extra weight removed, 6 point roll cage, race seats, hydro ebrake, steering spacers, carbon airbox....
Toyota : 1JZGTE single turbo conversion, HSD Coillovers, and loads of goodies...

Favorite Track to Throw Down: Started drifting in Jarama (Madrid) and really enjoyed it, unfortunatly noisy cars cant go on it anymore :

Years Drifting: None! I'm an ex-road racer, and long-time automotive photographer, currently going into my second year involved in drift-specific photography with Wrecked Magazine.

Vehicle of Choice: '01 BMW 325Xi.

Why: It's the ultimate driving machine. :)

Mods: Intake, Exhaust, H&R Springs, M3 Front, M3 CSL Boot, BBS Wheels.

Favorite Track to Throw Down: Autobahn Country Club, Joliet IL. Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI also holds a place in my heart.

Personal Accomplishments in Drifting: Covering grassroots and Formula Drift has really got my foot in the door in the automotive industry. I've met some great people, and i've made some amazing friends.

Personal Goals for the Future: Take more pictures, eat Jack in the Box tacos, repeat.

Random Fact: Dogs can grow beards all over.

Why:because its the easiest car to drift

Mods: so far just an intake,wheels, and a carbon fiber shift knob, but BIG PLANS for it, suspension will be added next real soon.

Favorite track to throw down: i've only been to one and i like it so far, summit point.

Personal accomplishments in drifting: the biggest one is just to have fun, but i do want to accel and turn pro eventually.

Personal goals for the future: to have a good career that allows me to have as much money to support my habit, which is drifting. =)

Random Fact: streaking in hotel hallways is fun.

Name: Kris "Soosh" Doroba

Why: why you ask, i ask why not?

fav track: englishtown nj, being that its the only one that ive driven

accomplishments in drifting: macking a wall! hmmm, the progress i've made in a fairly stock vehicle and learning how to drift in a boat compared to the 240

future goals: earn a trophy at the Club Loose banquet at some point

Why: Gotta love that V8 grumble and the All American Style

Mods: To my car? JIC Coilovers, Camber Plates, S13 LCA's, S13 Tie Rods, SportMax 18" Wheels, Nitto INVO 225s up front and 275s out back. 5-speed conversion, Exedy Clutch, Welded Diff, S13 Shifter, Custom Exhaust, Slide Asylum Sticker ^_^

Favorite Track to Throw Down: Haven't done many tracks, but if I had to pick a fav, I'd say . . .Nashville Super Speedway

Personal Accomplishments in Drifting: Just getting into it and rising to tandem class in my first year of drifting with a bone-stock 01 Mustang Bullitt. I also placed 18 of 42 drifters at the SouthEast Drift Challenge pt 1 and have been invited to drifting demos on more than one occasion though not always able to attend, LOL!

Personal Goals for the Future: Just to get into a car I can finally stick with and have fun with it. I lost sight of the "fun" aspect in 2009 and for 2010 I hope to bring it back. I just want to see what good comes from this car and how far it can get me in local and regional competition.

Random Fact: Tire smoke is made from the friction between the spinning tire and it's contact surface.

Last Comment: Never forget that above all else, drifting is supposed to be fun. Don't take it too seriously, always drift like it's just a game and you'll always kick ass!

Personal Accomplishments in Drifting: Aug, 2008 PROAM Tucson Western Divisional 2nd place, Interviewed for a documentary film on drifting at ASU, Oct 2009 PROAM Irwindale Speedway Qualifier 8th place, and my first time there too!

Personal Goals for the Future: Vegas Drift Proam Series Championship to earn a Formula D license.

Why: always liked the s-chassis cars. I liked how different the 'verts were but unfortunately they were all auto. i found this one with a manual swap already done and the car was pretty clean, so i picked this one up

Personal Goals for the Future: get out on the track this season. also get a job so i can fund this and upgrade some of my parts (i.e. suspension and wheels)

Random Fact: um, i kinda wish i didnt buy the 'vert at first because i need the roll bar to get out on track. but i know when i finally get out there i will love it

Why: Cause I aint got no better sense.

Mods: Caged, coils, links, cut knuckles, work S1rs, vvti 1jz swap.

Favorite Track to Throw Down: I love the "trigger" course at Summit Point, I like VIR pretty well, and the road course at E-town NJ has no one amazing spot but the whole thing adds up to be AWESOME.

Personal Accomplishments in Drifting: Meh. Not much. Um, 7th or so at Hyperfest one year, 2nd to Nate Brasz at VIR, and honestly, just getting this motor in and running.

Personal Goals for the Future: Have fun again and not sell another car just as it gets to be what I want.

Random Fact: I say sir to EVERYONE.
